A girl wakes up in a black and white world with no memories of her life or who she is, and very little emotional capacity. As she wanders around a small town, she finds these shadow creatures are everywhere, and she is terrified. For days she lives in alleyways in hiding and fear, before she comes to realize the shadows aren't all that bad. She grows to like this black and white world and communicates with the shadows. But one day her life is disrupted, she wakes up from a coma in a colored world.
